Article submissions on the Internet are probably the easiest way to get your articles noticed. It could be that you are a writer. It could be that you have a website or product that you are trying to promote. Using article to accomplish this task is known as article marketing.  There are very many websites that are devoted to article submissions. The websites are also a great source for finding information to be published on your website.

The whole purpose of submitting your articles is to get noticed or to get your website/product noticed. So, making sure that you submit your articles to websites that generate a lot of traffic would be in your best interest. Just keep in mind that some submission sites are devoted to certain industries; therefore, you may not be able to submit your article to it unless it relates to that same industry.

To find a list of article submissions sites, you can look for article submission directories or just simply perform a search on any search engine. It is highly advisable that you do your research and visit each one of the sites to see if they are what you had in mind.

Then, you will want to make sure that these sites are generating a large flow of traffic. There is no sense in submitting your articles to sites that do not have enough traffic. You usually submit your articles because you want them to get noticed. Judge the websites by their Alexa rankings. The lower the ranking, the better the website is. The rankings are categorized by the amount of traffic that they attract.

The next step is to register with each one of the sites that you have chosen. The registration process is very easy, and it will take just a few moments of your time. Most of the sites will send you a confirmation email. Sometimes you may have to wait a day or so for these emails to arrive. Some article submission sites do not require that an author register with them. With these sites, you will just submit your article.

Lastly, to make sure that your article in chosen for publication, you will want to be sure that you follow the article submission guidelines that each site provides. If you follow the guidelines, more than likely you will have success. Some sites will not publish your article if you do not follow the guidelines. Some of the sites offer formatting and writing features where you can do everything on the site; however, the copy and paste procedure is the easiest. Just copy and paste from a program like Microsoft Word.

The Internet provides the easiest way to perform your article submissions and build your number of external links. In the beginning, it will take more time for you to submit your articles. After you get familiar with the process, it will take you a lot less time.
