The Power Of One-Way Backward Links

Monday, August 30th, 2010

This is not the first time I have written and submitted an article about SEO or web promotion; things have now changed however therefore I have decided to update people on my current thoughts.

A good one way links building campaign is the main priority. Obtaining additional backlinks that point to your site is widely regarded as essential. However you have to be careful. This is my personal list of what to do and what you should not do.

Do:

Increase the number of backward links pointing to your website slowly

Obtain backward links from within the same industry/market as your own

Build up the number of one-way links your website has pointing to it

Write articles and submit them to article directories

Add your website domain on all of your adverts, documentation and e-mails

Offer the visitors to your site the chance to sign up to a monthly newsletter

Offer the visitors to your site a free e-book

Write press releases

Do not:

Increase the number of backward links to quickly

Purchase link text ads

Just leave your website without any promotion, it will not grow on its own

Build hidden pages

In my opinion one-way links are vital. This form of backward link is without doubt the most sought after and are what will gain you the “most” ranking points. These are the forms of links that, in my opinion, can only provide a site with benefits. Whether your site is to do with French doors or to do with offering a professional copywriter service 1-way links are the way to go.

The best and easiest way of obtaining these one-way links is by writing articles like the one you are reading. Once you have written the article, you then need to submit it to a number of article directories. You are able to add a link to your website on the bottom of the article and the hope is that other webmasters will want to include your article on their website, thus giving you a one-way link.

I have been writing articles for around a year and I must say it has done wonders for my businesses. The number of visitors to my sites have rocketed and the page rank have also steadily increased.

The Power Of Article Marketing

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Have you heard of Lance Winslow? For those of you who are not familiar with this giant of link building then all you need to do is to click onto the expert authors link on the homepage of EzineArticles. Lance, somehow, has now had over 20 thousand articles published on the ever popular ezinearticles - which is a lot more than my 656.A few days ago I read an article of his where he described the way in which writing articles has benefited his own websites. This article has inspired me to continue to write even more articles, you never know in ten years time I might have written twenty thousand articles and somebody might then write an article about me.

I personally have a goal of writing one article per day and at times struggle to reach this target. I have over the last year seen a huge increase in traffic to my stammering therapy websites from this and other forms of web promotion that I use. My strategy is quite simple, I aim to build up the number of one-way backward links pointing to my sites. This philosophy is working very well for me and the main site I promote has now reached a page rank six, it was only a page rank three about a year ago.

I could not quite believe what I was reading when Lance described how at one stage he was receiving TOO MUCH traffic to his websites via the articles that he had written and that for this reason he had to remove the links from the articles - I have never heard of someone complaining about receiving too much traffic - have you? Very weird. Too much traffic, how can you have too much traffic?

I now help and advise other people who want to promote their own sites. I explain about web promotion and how writing articles or using article submission service can benefit them. They listen but only about ten percent of the people that I recommend it to, then actually start writing in a serious way.

Cheap And Cheerful Web Promotion Services

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Webmasters are often keen to find new ways of obtaining additional traffic to their site/sites. I would imagine that the majority of webmasters would like to receive a larger influx of traffic to their websites but which are the forms of website promotion that work but that are also affordable to the average man?

These are what any SEO company that is worthy of the name would be able to provide:

1. PPC.

PPC is becoming more and more popular with programs such as Google adwords reporting bigger profits on a regular basis. This is a way of getting your website on the first or second pages by you paying an advertising fee. You are able to bid an amount which is affordable to you however to obtain the number one placement for your advertisement may well cost you a lot of money. When people then click on your advert they then are diverted to your website but this obviously comes at a cost to yourself.

2. Writing articles.

Writing articles such as this one is a very popular form of web promotion. Other webmasters are able to use your articles on their website which gives you an extra backward link as you are able to add you website address at the bottom of the article. Then there are the people who read the articles that you have written; they could be reading them via a search engine or even on the article marketing websites themselves; either way they could well click on your website link and become a visitor to your site. I have had great success with article marketing when promoting my stuttering therapy and composite doors websites.

3. Obtaining backward links.

If you are looking to increase your search engine position it is a good idea to try to increase the amount of backward links you have. This is not as easy as it seems as people are not always happy to add a link on their site to your homepage. It is worth making a few phone calls or sending a few e-mails and asking the question, if the person would like to exchange links. It is of more value to have a link from a website in the same type trade of your own.

4. It is a good idea to include the domain of your website in any advertising that you do.

Wherever you advertise it is important to include your website domain address, and also at the bottom of any e-mails you send.

Superb Web Promotion Tips For Free

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

In my opinion the following examples of website promotion are the best ways to obtain an increase in traffic to your website. I have a large number of websites and these free tips have helped me to make them a huge success.

1. Pay per click advertising.

Pay per click advertising is becoming more and more popular with programs such as Google adwords reporting more and more people signing up to their service. I personally use pay per click however the costs are increasing each month as it like a form of auction. There are better ways of attracting visitors which are also free.

2. Writing articles.

Writing articles such as this one is my favourite form of web promotion. There are a growing number of free content or article websites who are more than happy to receive your article. That is as long as it is a quality article and not just full of keywords. When other site owners choose to include your article on their website or blog this in turn then gives you a free backward link. Then there is the additional links that you gain when you have the article published in the article directory itself. These links are of huge value as they are what are called one way links. With the explosion and likely long term popularity of blogs, which of course require content, articles are the future for obtaining links. Hopefully a large amount of people will get to read your article and these are also potential visitors to your website/s.

I have had some great success in promoting my composite doors and Currys Voucher Codes websites via article marketing.

3. Obtaining backward links.

If you are trying to gain extra traffic to your website, looking to increase your search engine position or hoping to increase your page rank, it is a must to increase the amount of backward links you have.

How Article Marketing Can Increase Your Online Sales

Friday, February 5th, 2010

What is the best way to increase your online sales? How can I promote my website for free? What are the benefits of article marketing? Does article marketing work? These are questions that I am asked on a regular basis and are questions that I will be answering in this article.

I own a small business and have a number of websites which I use to promote the services that I offer. I am involved in providing Vodafone Voucher Codes as well as with a company that sell affordable front doors. As like I am sure the majority of webmasters out there, I wanted to attract as many people as I could to visit and read the content of the websites. At the outset due to my lack of knowledge of the best ways of promoting a website I enlisted the help of people who referred themselves as SEO experts. As it turned out neither were they, despite their claims of being an SEO expert.

After some particularly bad experiences with these so called experts of the SEO industry and after wasting a great deal of money I decided to attempt to educate myself on the art of web promotion. This was about seven years ago and one of the first things I was to learn was about the power of article marketing. I started to write articles and was astonished with the results, I was gaining additional traffic that were coming directly from the articles and the websites were also obtaining higher search engine rankings.

Article marketing has stood the test of time and is still as beneficial today as it was seven years ago. Article marketing is a free form of web promotion which is a major benefit to the small businessman!

I aim to write an average of one article per day and have managed to do this for the last two and a half years, the results speak for themselves.

My Favourite Article Marketing Websites

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Are you interested in web promotion and web marketing? Have you discovered the power of article marketing yet? Would you like to increase the amount of visitors to your website? Are you eager to make yourself a whole heap of cash from your website. I am, of course, not entirely sure how you will have answered the above questions however they are ones that I most certainly would have answered yes to all of them. Taking my last eight years of experience, I truly believe that writing articles is one of the best, if not the best forms of promoting a website and in this article I am going to write about what in my opinion are the best five article marketing websites to submit your articles to.

I have been writing articles for eighteen months and I must say that I aim to continue writing more articles as a way of promoting my own websites for many more years to come. I have had great success from it and whats more it is free. I would strongly advise any person who is looking to gain more traffic to their sites to commence writing articles asap. As a rule I attempt or have a goal to write an average of one article per day. On certain days when I have more time or when I am in the mood for it, I write a lot more than just one, my record thus far has been seven in one day.

In every day life I am involved with various products including quality external doors and a service offering cheap mobile phone calls.

By way the best article marketing site has to be EzineArticles. It is important to be clear about their guidelines when submitting to this site as they do not accept any old rubbish, which of course has to be a good thing.

I also submit to articlealley, articledashboard, goarticles and ideamarketers.

I used to also submit my articles to searchwarp but they have had a bit of a disaster and they now use the no follow rule on all links in the author bio.

One other article directory which I have heard is very good is buzzle. This is a site that I have heard great things about and is one which could possibly feature in my list of “five favourite article marketing websites” in the future.
